WHY HOUSE OF TZUR EXISTS

House of Tzur exists to create a space where men can slow down, examine their lives, strengthen their inner foundation, and move with greater intention. It is built around healing, accountability, discipline, self-awareness, spiritual growth, and the courage to become more fully aligned with who you are called to be. Craig was the child shaped by his upbringing, his family, and the experiences that taught him how to survive.

As I became a young man, Jonah emerged—the player, the charmer, and the man searching for acceptance, pleasure, and identity. Jonah carried confidence on the outside, but underneath were wounds, insecurities, and questions he had not yet learned how to face. He made choices that brought both lessons and consequences.

Through fatherhood, addiction and recovery, grief, spiritual awakening, restored relationships, caregiving, and accountability, Jonah could no longer remain the man he had been. Life required me to look honestly at myself—not to live in shame, but to accept responsibility, heal what was broken, and become something greater.

My oldest son, Craig Jr., played a profound role in that spiritual awakening. He introduced me to a deeper way of seeing life, purpose, and the spirit. Before his life was taken by gun violence, he had already changed the direction of my path. Although his physical presence is gone, his influence continues to guide me and lives within the foundation of the House of Tzur.

My relationship with my younger son taught me another life-changing lesson. Our bond was repaired when I stopped trying to make him into the person I thought he should be and began learning who he truly was. I discovered that helping someone become a better version of himself begins with seeing him, listening to him, and honoring the person he was created to be.

My four daughters have also taught me lessons that only daughters can teach a father. Because I lived as a player during my younger years, I have tried to help them navigate life and relationships through the lens of what I learned—sometimes the hard way—about how some men can think and behave. Yet, while I have worked to teach and protect them, they have taught me to listen more deeply, communicate with greater compassion, respect their individuality, and recognize the strength and wisdom of women. They remind me that fatherhood is not about controlling their paths, but preparing them to walk those paths with confidence, discernment, and self-respect.

My journey continues alongside my beautiful wife of 25 years. Her diagnosis with stage 3 triple-negative breast cancer has taken us through an emotional roller coaster of fear, faith, uncertainty, hope, and perseverance. Supporting and caring for her has deepened my understanding of love, commitment, vulnerability, and what it truly means to remain steady when life becomes difficult. Out of these experiences,

Tzur began to rise. Tzur is not a denial of Craig or an attempt to hide Jonah. He is the transformed expression of everything they survived and learned. Tzur represents the man who faced his past, accepted his imperfections, reclaimed his spiritual authority, and chose to transform his pain into purpose. The House of Tzur was born from this transformation. It is a place where men can confront the different versions of themselves, remove the masks they have worn, heal what they have carried, and become more fully who they were created to be. This is more than my story. It is my testimony.
